JONATHAN TIMMES
Jonathan is an editorial and commercial photographer based in Washington, DC. He specializes in portraiture, food & beverage, music, and sport photography that is character driven, modern, and dramatic. His style is most notably marked by his vibrant and compelling use of light, color, and composition.
While his imagery may be moody and dramatic, Jonathan certainly is not. In contrast, he is usually found spreading laughter around the set and striving to facilitate working conditions that are both sensitive to client needs and inspire the creative risk taking process.
People are always surprised to learn that Jonathan was born with a congenital heart defect and has successfully recovered from two open-heart operations. These experiences are reflected in the empathy, integrity, and excitement that he brings to his craft every day.
