ERIC FISCHER
Eric is a Los Angeles based photographer known for his dramatic portraiture. He was recognized early in his career by Photo District News. PDN, the premiere photography industry trade magazine, named him one of “PDN’s 30 2004, emerging photographers to watch in the world”. This spotlight brought him to the attention of fashion and entertainment magazines including Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, Essence and Ellegirl, who all sought out his “eye for beauty” and “meticulous lighting”.
Thanks to this early momentum and word of mouth, Eric was selected to photograph Rihanna, while having no previous celebrity portrait experience.
Eric was born and raised in San Jose, California. At 16, he picked up a Kodak textbook and taught himself the basics of photography. He later earned a BFA at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. A year after graduating, he moved to New York City with his two cats to pursue fashion photography.
Eric recently returned to California, relocating to Los Angeles.
